NB. The other lines on the rear manifold are those for the rear suspension; the brake pressure for the rear brakes therefore comes from the rear suspension lines; as a result, a BX (and other Citroëns with hydraulic suspension) brakes at the rear depending on the load in the boot.More weight in the boot means;

-more pressure in the suspension system, which in turn results in

-more brake pressure.
