2025 is already well underway, so it's about time for an update! In Buren, there's plenty of work going on with BXes, and quite a few special examples have already made their way to the workshop this year.
We've had the pleasure of making several people happy with a new BX: a BX Palmares found a new owner, a beautiful red and a white BX14 have been made roadworthy and are back on Dutch roads. A BX4WD found a new owner remarkably quickly, and the BX Digit is with his new owner.
Agenda 2025 – garage meetings
Last year, we organized a monthly walkin Saturday afternoon in the workshop, each with a different theme. A relaxed and friendly way to drop by, catch up with other enthusiasts, and of course, admire some BXes. This year, they're back, but not every month.
Our calendar is packed, so we’ve had to make some choices. The meetings with well-known themes like the validation day, the spheres day, a guest lecture, and the Halloween night drive are definitely planned for this year. As of this writing, the first valuation day has already taken place, and spots were filled up quickly!
Looking back: First Garage meeting of 2025 – valuation Day, April 5
Time slots for this day filled up in no time, and it turned out to be a busy and cheerful day! From BX Sport to BX19 TRI, an old Volkswagen fire truck converted into a camper, and even a few Citroën 2CVs; there was a wide variety of classic cars.
Thanks to our collaboration with NAG (classic car insurance) for this appraisal day, and the two car appraisers present, many vehicles could be assessed in a single day.
There’s already interest in a second valaution day later this year. Would that be useful for you as well? Let us know! If there's enough interest, we’ll schedule a new date. And good to know: it's not just for BXes!
Looking Back: Citro-Classica 2025
What a celebration it was again during the first weekend of May at Citro-Classica! Quite literally too, Pascal celebrated his birthday that weekend. With the help of a fantastic group of people, we once again managed to set up a beautiful stand. Our BX Evasion trailer came along, and together with the decorations from camping/B&B Hoeve de Snippert, we created a lovely rest spot right in the middle of the strip.
We look back with pleasure on a successful event. Great encounters, beautiful French voitures, street theatre passing by the stand, and a cheerful big band playing in the background. Everyone worked so hard to make it happen again, it really is something special. And yes, we're already secretly making plans for next year, when there's even more to celebrate...
New in the Shop: BX T-Shirts & More!
To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the BX Break, we've launched the special "Take a Break!" collection. The line includes T-shirts, stickers, and postcards, all in a retro neon style inspired by the 1980s and '90s.
Just added: the new 90s-style T-shirt, "Ride Back in Time!"
All items are now available in our webshop. T-shirts come in sizes S to 5XL.
Did you know...
- Since this spring, you can now also come to our garage for air conditioning refills; handy with a warm summer likely on the way!
- More and more new products are being added to our website. In addition to all return hoses and overhaul kits, we now also offer strut tops for the BX.
- We supply suspension spheres for most Citroëns.
- We also have a great selection of new items for the CX available in our webshop.
- On Sunday, May 25, the French Car Day will take place, right next door, here in Buren! A great opportunity to meet other French classics (and their owners). More information about this event can be found via Visscher Classique Auto Museum
