Citroën BX Specialist

What began in 2016 as a hobby that got out of hand quickly grew into a specialised garage and webshop dedicated entirely to the Citroën BX. Pascal van Merkestein, who has spent many years passionately working on classic Citroëns, got the opportunity to acquire the entire stock of a DS specialist in France. That marked the beginning of De Snoekfabriek.
The company originally focused on the Citroën DS, which explains our name. As a DS is called Snoek as well. But Pascal’s long-standing love for the Citroën BX soon led to a shift in direction. Demand for BX parts and expertise was growing, while supply remained limited. It soon became clear that the BX would take centre stage.
After a flying start at the ICCCR fair in 2016 and years of hard work and collecting, De Snoekfabriek moved in 2021 to a unique location next to the car museum in Buren, the Netherlands. This is where it all comes together: our workshop and our parts warehouse under one roof.
Each day, we’re busy maintaining, restoring and preparing BX cars for the road. We also ship new and used parts worldwide through our webshop, and offer a range of BX models for sale; from the BX14 to the rare BX Sport.
De Snoekfabriek is a true family business. Alongside Pascal, Katinka and Rosalie are actively involved in the workshop. And we are much more than a garage: in addition to service and repairs, we offer our own line of BX-inspired T-shirts and Citroën-themed gifts. We also organise regular community events such as appraisal days and the popular “hydraulic sphere day”.
